Senior Brand Consultant

Senior Consultants create impactful, integrated, and insightful strategic direction for brands. They uncover insights from the client’s business, competitive context, customers and broader culture that lead to opportunities for brands, and they contribute to presentations and recommendations that help client brands navigate disruption, innovation and transformation.

Here’s what you should know if you want to be a Senior Brand Consultant at R/GA:

On any given day you might

  • Deep dive into emerging technologies and products and highlight the implications for developing a new product and brand
  • Analyze the positioning and messaging of conventional and disruptive brands and frame the opportunity
  • Organize and elevate findings from multiple secondary sources into a clear, concise and compelling presentation of insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with other consultants as well as designers and producers to create strategies that take a new brand to market
  • Forge relationships with internal specialists in marketing science, media, research and technology to answer a strategic question
  • Directly interact with clients in a variety of industries across B2C and B2B sectors

The ideal person

  • Demonstrates command of the broad range of brand building blocks including: purpose, value proposition, brand architecture, positioning, messaging, etc.
  • Can perform primary research and/or manage a research partner across a range of methodologies—quantitative and qualitative, online and offline
  • Can translate brand strategy into strategy for product, design and experience
  • Collaborates well and takes ownership when appropriate—is able to work across different groups and disciplines to push work forward
  • Is innately curious and comfortable with ambiguity, asks insightful questions and can take leaps when necessary, challenges the status quo of branding
  • Has his/her radar tuned to new and emerging trends in culture and technology

You bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in brand strategy, corporate branding, product strategy, etc.

Bonus points

  • If you have an MBA
  • If you have client experience across industries and B2B + B2C sectors
  • If you have brand strategy experience across disciplines including media, CRM, innovation, social media or working for a brand owner
