Executive Director, Business Development, Connected Spaces

R/GA views Connected Spaces as the convergence of information, architecture and technology. The Executive Director, Business Development for Connected Spaces at R/GA in our New York office will oversee growth for our Connected Spaces practice and lead the expression of our clients brand visions in a physical context, using technology to seamlessly connect people with their environments in a way that enhances their experience.

The individual is expected to be well connected and to be capable of identifying, pursuing and winning Connected Spaces opportunities.

 

Here's what you should know if you want to be an Executive Director, Business Development for Connected Spaces at R/GA:

On any given day you might:

  • Help to define and develop a new business strategy tailored to the Connected Spaces practice
  • Identify new business opportunities with complex technical and design challenges across the physical and digital landscapes
  • Create a pipeline of new business and play a lead role in new business pitches
  • Proactively initiate new senior-level client relationships
  • Follow up on new business leads and identify and prioritize organic growth opportunities
  • Contribute to capabilities presentations and other marketing materials
  • Coordinate internal resources within office and cross-office to develop client proposals
  • Lead new business/pitch presentations
  • Develop and maintain a client and prospect database
  • Work with the agency management team to meet overall agency vision and objectives

The ideal person:

  • Has a solid track record of developing successful relationships with C-level clients
  • Has a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and the ability to develop appropriate strategy tactics
  • Understands architecture, design, construction, interior design, technology, and the startup community
  • Has a working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
  • Has a thorough knowledge of the wide variety of technology partners, platforms and channels
  • Has exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills that encourage team performance
  • Is a credible leader who can develop and sustain strong relationships internally and externally
  • Is a self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can easily adapt to a culture of constant changes
