Business Strategy Associate

R/GA Ventures is looking to hire associates to work on both the upcoming R/GA Marketing Tech Venture Studio in partnership with IPG and Verizon Media Tech Venture Studio with R/GA. These programs are designed to enable companies to explore and launch new business models that will reimagine the future of the marketing and media industries. These programs are intended to help startup companies grow their businesses through mentorship, pilots, industry partnerships, and brand and product development

During the programs, the Business Strategy Associate will dig into the business plans for the participating startups, providing research, models and analysis. Projects may be assigned by program leadership, requested by founders, or augment R/GA services deliverables.

All Associates ensure that founders have the information and tools they need to effectively participate in the program, that the program venue is prepared to meet the day’s needs, and that all visitors- including industry-leading mentors, sponsors, and investors- have a productive and positive experience at R/GA. Associates will traffic founder questions/concerns to the appropriate R/GA staff member.

This role may be interesting to those looking to gain experience and connections in marketing and/or media technology, venture capital and/or digital agencies. The ideal associate is collaborative, calm, dependable, and personable.

This position is a full-time, temporary role for a 14-week period from May 8th - November 10th. This position will report directly to the Strategy Director.

On any given day you might

  • Support Managing Director, R/GA Services team and startups with potential projects such as:

           o   KPI development and measurement

           o   Market research, segmentation, competitive analysis

           o   Building financial models

           o   Customer discovery, surveying, defining personas

           o   Research most relevant investment funds for each startup

           o   Creating a roadmap for business and/or product development

The ideal candidate

  • Has experience working with customer analytics, campaign analytics, forecasting, reporting and optimization
  • Has experience building financial models, conducting market research and customer discovery
  • Has solid quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Is self-motivated, multi-tasks, and manages time effectively
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is comfortable dealing with people at all levels
  • Has strong knowledge of Google Calendar and Drive
  • Has experience building financial models, conducting market research and customer discovery
  • Is an MBA candidate or recent graduate from an accredited university
