Senior Account Director

You will be the reliable and insightful advisor who can propose, recommend and steer initiatives in support of the client’s business objectives – across brand, ATL and digital work.

You will be closely consulting with your GAD and MD on relevant measurable business results and is able to use these to develop your client's business, increase the agency’s revenue and deepen the client relationship into a long term sustainable partnership. Service and excellence need to live in the core of your DNA.

Here’s what you should know if you want to be a Senior Account Director at R/GA:
 
On any given day you might:

  • Manage discipline director to VP level external and internal client relationships
  • Act as R/GA account lead on cross-agency integrated marketing programs, by participating in multi-agency briefs and work sessions. Manage relationships with other agencies.
  • Lead and make decisions that properly balance the needs of account such as those of clients, internal goals and teams
  • Take ownership of ongoing deliverables with a focus on strategic planning and delivery.
  • Manage account P&L from negotiating statements of work and retainers, making sure work is delivered on budget, and increasing ROI for the agency.
  • Structure work and provide direction for the team
  • Contribute to new business pitches
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within client engagements
  • Actively sell in new ideas to clients to enhance their business and to grow R/GA revenue

  • Helps to ensure creative concepts and deliverables meet client needs. Involves people at the optimal levels for project success.
  • Is flexible, clarifies ambiguity, operates effectively, and provides direction.
  • Has the ability to think creatively and strategically - makes sound business decisions that balance competing priorities

  • Has good negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates significant proactive communication skills to manage conflict.
  • Has exceptional documentation skills.
  • Successfully manages interpersonal relationships with VP, SVP level clients.

You bring:

  • Degree Qualification or Equivalent
  • 8+ years’ experience in the industry managing teams and 1-2 significant clients
  • Experience working on FMCG accounts
  • Experience working in Client Services at award winning and/or large networked digital agencies
  • Experience with various types of project across systems and storytelling, including video production and brand and strategic consulting
  • Proven track record of managing million dollar accounts successfully
  • Demonstrates strong potential for leadership skills – the ability to take people with you
  • Demonstrates strong potential for developing negotiation skills especially contract negotiations, with both clients and partners
